Ways to Donate

Thank you for financially partnering with families in Gaza! Here are the best ways to send money. I have more information on how I get that money to them in the FAQ section.

Fees but still good

GoFundMe has fees and is less desirable, but it is still okay if you are more comfortable with it! This does not represent all the families as some prefer to not be visible for safety reasons.

FAQ

These are exact questions I've been asked. If you have any other questions that are preventing you from donating, please reach out via Instagram, Facebook, or email.

You are not Arab. Who are you and can I trust you?

I am just a regular person in the US who happened to have a lot of Arab-American and Persian-American friends when the genocide broke out. At one point in the genocide, I met people in Gaza through South Carolina Peace Center. Eventually I was asked if I'd be willing to make a GoFundMe for a family. From there I was asked to make more and here we are!

If you want to verify who I am, you can reach out to the following organizations that I am a member of:

Christians for A Free PalestineDemocrats for Palestinian Rights - Bay Area

And I have loose relationships with the following orgs:

South Carolina Peace Center (Ask for Brittany)FCNL (South Carolina)

Who are the families you are partnering with and can I trust them?

For the past year, I have been interacting with these families I now call friends. I met each of these families through one of these two avenues:

(1) I met some people in Gaza through a group in South Carolina that is affiliated with FCNL and the South Carolina Peace Center. I have been interacting with these people in Gaza for over a year including texting, phone calls, and Zoom. Some of the people in Gaza asked if I'd be willing to make a GoFundMe for a specific family. That family later asked if I could make one for another family. Etc.

(2) As I was trying to find more donors, I became affiliated with a group of people across the world who were also trying to raise money. One woman in Germany had GoFundMes, but she was no longer able to withdraw money as Germany has started revoking citizenship status if someone has a GoFundMe for someone in Gaza. I have extensively talked to both the woman in Germany and the families from these GoFundMes. For example, one of my Gaza friends has a family based in New Jersey that manages their GoFundMe. I talk to her about twice per month. Most of these GoFundMes are self-sustaining, and I am just the bank behind them, though this could change in the future if money starts running out.

All this to say... I've seen a ton of videos from these families, have been on many phone calls with them, have been on Zooms with them, and have other people in Gaza who are verifying their validity.

I am on a visa. Can I still donate?

Yes, but I recommend you donate in cash. Reach out to me so I can partner with you in whatever US city you are in. There are people who can pick up cash and Venmo me the money; I know these people through different orgs I am in.

Are you the only person outside of Gaza working with these families?

No! I work with so many people who help drive these fundraisers and interact with the families on a daily basis. In fact, most people do much more than I am doing! I am just the money person; I've put this site together to build confidence for donors.

How do you keep track of the money?

I use an app that makes me categorize every transaction that comes in. I know every dollar that comes into my accounts. I have categories for each family, and I distribute the money across the families.

How is money distributed across the families?

I am in regular contact with each family. Some I talk to every day and some once per month. I try to keep up with everyone's eating and housing status, and I try to ensure that each family is able to eat at least one meal per day.

How can I specify a specific person to donate to?

Put it your Venmo or Zelle description and I will make sure it gets to the person you've requested. Additionally, all money goes to food and housing unless education is specified in the header.

How do you send money to Gaza?

It depends on the family, but... mostly crypto! I can't believe I became a crypto bro, but here I am. Crypto is the easiest way to send money across countries without dealing with the government banking restrictions. For example, if I try to wire money to Bank of Palestine, it will often bounce back for arbitrary reasons. Additionally, crypto has very few fees. That being said, I do also send it via Bank of Palestine and TapTap.

How much money has been raised?

As of August 2025, we have been able to raise $40,000. This might sound like a lot (and it is so thank you to everyone who has donated!!), but in the most expensive part of the genocide this only covered one meal per day. Some families have 10+ family members; in the most expensive parts of the genocide, feeding a family of 10 three meals per day would've cost $10,000 per month alone, which we couldn't fully fund. Any amount you give adds food stability for a family.

I thought the blockade was preventing food from entering. How are families in Gaza able to purchase food?

Food has a way of getting in but it is at a price. For example, some aid is being stolen by the Israel-backed mafia that has developed in Southern Gaza. This food is then sold at outrageously high prices. Our goal is to get enough money to the families so they can afford to survive until the blockade is lifted.

Why should I donate to direct mutual aid and not to a larger non-profit?

I'm not here to tell you how to spend your money, but I will say one of the benefits of mutual aid is that no money is spent on operating costs. The families know what they need better than anyone else!

What is the minimum donation?

There is no minimum. Even $5 buys a quarter of a meal for a person in the most expensive part of the genocide!

How can I follow what is going on with each family?

I don't currently have a consistent way of communicating except through Instagram. I also sometimes post updates on GoFundMe. Feel free to follow me on Instagram if you want to see what is going on with some of the families. If this prevents you from donating, I can start sending out emails!

Other Ways to Help

Share on your social media! Print out posters and pass them out or post them on community boards. (Image provided below for Instagram.)

But more than donations, we just want the genocide to stop. My friends in Gaza want to be working just like all of us do, and the sooner the genocide ends, the sooner they will not have to rely on donations. Some of them actually do have incomes, it just isn't enough to afford the outrageous prices. There are more thorough lists out there, but here is a quick off the top of my head list ways to push for an end to this madness:
